What is POWL ?
What is POWL ? It stands for Personal Object WorkList.?
It is webdynpro application.it is used for standard UI rendering of business data.
The need for a user-defined worklist has led to the development of the SAP Personal Object Worklist . The Universal Worklist (UWL) used earlier was a generic worklist, without the option of user level configuration. POWL provides you with a portal-based interface.
It?provides you, as a business user, with a general overview of your work environment and all related business objects. It?thus serves as a central point for accessing, managing, and tracking your object-related tasks.
You use POWL to define (and optionally store) queries in a way similar to ERP selection screen variants. Moreover, it is possible to flag such queries as “activated” so their results are immediately visible whenever you navigate to a portal page/workset that contains the respective POWL iView. Consequently, you have your customized “workload” (similar to the mandatory and externally “forced” workload in the case of UWL).

Personal Object Worklist
The Personal Object Worklist (POWL), which is located in the content area of the SAP NetWeaver Portal, is a query-driven worklist that contains procurement documents (business objects) from your work area. The list of objects is assembled so that you can work on a defined set of items. While adapting and saving queries is possible, the focus is on having predefined queries, which bring your work items to you. Simple, one-step actions are possible, but typically you navigate from the POWL to an application to work on the selected procurement document.
